KXCI Celebrates 1972 Concert Event

On Saturday, August 25th, KXCI pays tribute to the great music of 1972 with the KXCI Celebrates 1972 event at the Rialto Theatre.

This family-friendly evening features local performers playing cuts from some of the best albums of 1972.

Reserved balcony ($16) and general admission ($11) tickets are on sale now at the Rialto Theatre: (520) 740-1000 or Click Here. Balcony seats are going fast, but there will be plenty of general admission tickets at the door. There's plenty of parking in
Centro Garage near the Rialto for a flat fee. Food trucks will be on hand, too!

This event follows in the footsteps of KXCI's successful and fun Woodstock, 1970 and 1971 events of the past three years. It is one of our most "buzzed about" concerts as it gives you a chance to see local artists stepping into the shoes of their famous national counterparts.

Performers for KXCI Celebrates 1972 events include: Boreas, Roll Acosta, Mik Garrison, Chris Holiman & The Downtown Saints, Logan Greene Electric, Kevin &Tanishia of Southwest Soul Circuit, Run Boy Run and Crosscut Saw.

The national acts they'll be covering are: Stevie Wonder, The Band, Allman Brothers, Neil Young, Donny Hathaway & Roberta Flack, Randy Newman, Big Star and Al Green.

As part of the celebration of 1972, our friends at Cinema La Placita are also proud to be screening Sleuth, the 1972 mystery thriller starring Laurence Olivier and Michael Caine. Details at
