2nd Saturdays Downtown, THIS SATURDAY!

Bring your friends and family downtown this Saturday, May 8th for the inaugural 2ND SATURDAYS DOWNTOWN, sponsored in part by KXCI Community Radio. The event runs from 5 to 10pm.

In the tradition of Tucson's historic downtown Saturday nights, this new event (to be held on the 2nd Saturday of every month!) will feature street vendors and performers, food, musicians, visual arts, “pop-up” retailers including a KXCI local music store, indoor and outdoor concerts, and discounts from downtown merchants, restaurants and clubs stretching the length of Congress and including many downtown side streets.

Performers include The Modeens, The Mission Creeps, Stefan George, Greyhound Soul, Hank Topless, Maggie Golston, Catacoustic Groove, The Missing Parts, Jamie O’Brien, Cruz Billy, JJ, and the Get Right Rounders.
There will also be a very special (and free!) concert at the Fox Tucson Theatre featuring the Portland Cello Project, Weinland and Tucson's own legendary Howe Gelb.

More performers and events are being added every daily. To stay up-to-date on this incredible event, visit http://www.2ndsaturdaysdowntown.com/.
