Peace Walk: The annual Jewish-Muslim PeaceWalk Tucson is March 8th. The 2-mile walk promotes coexistence and mutual understanding. It begins at 2pm, March 8th at Congregation Or Chadash, 3939 North Alvernon, and ends with a meal at 5:30 pm at the Al Huda Islamic School, at 2800 East River Road. Xeriscape Contest: The Arizona Department of Water Resources and the Tucson Botanical Gardens present the 9th annual Xeriscape Contest, where water-wise landscaping can win you great prizes including a rain tank, harvesting barrels and low-water use trees.
