LIVE FOR 5 / Friday, September 26th

In celebration of our history of supporting live music in Tucson, from both local and national acts, KXCI on Friday will present "Live For Five," a 5-hour special programming event on Friday, September 26th from 1 to 5pm.

The five hours of nothing-but-live-music will include concert performances from artists ranging from Aretha Franklin, The Rolling Stones and Elvis to Built To Spill, U2 and Warren Zevon. We'll pull from our extensive Live In Studio 2A archives to bring you songs from artists like Patty Griffin, Michelle Shocked, G. Love, Robert Earl Keen, Steve Earle and Josh Rouse, all recorded in our studios on Fourth Avenue. And we'll even bring you never-before-broadcast live music from past KXCI benefit concerts (see schedule below)!

The day even includes a scheduled live in studio performance by Sea Wolf at 5pm.

"Live For Five" is part of KXCI's fall membership drive. In keeping with the theme, we'll have chances for you to pick up live recordings, both CDs and DVDs, as well as tickets to upcoming concerts, as part of your pledge of support to Community Radio!
