2nd Annual "Shorty Stubbs" Memorial Concert
Celebrating the life of a dedicated Tucson DJ, Musician and Friend
Chris "Shorty Stubbs" Jones

The Hut, 305 N. 4th Avenue, on Sunday, September 28, from 4:00 - 10:00 p.m. Over 21 only.

One year ago Tucson mourned the loss of Chris "Shorty Stubbs" Jones, a country-music loving man who was larger than life. A first-rate musician, he lived in Benson, worked at Raytheon and was a volunteer at Tucson's community radio station KXCI 91.3FM, on the air with his show, "Country Fringe". "Shorty" had a passion for all things country and could be found out and about almost any night enjoying the twanging happenings in Tucson. He was a great supporter of local musicians and music-oriented organizations.

On Friday, September 14, 2007, Chris "Shorty Stubbs" Jones passed away at his home in Benson. Shortly after, nearly 300 people attended a memorial concert featuring over 60 musicians in a tribute to Shorty. His generous heart and smiling face is still sorely missed by friends, family and our community.

Shorty is gone, but never forgotten: the 2nd annual celebration of Shorty's life will feature many local musicians including: Gary Alan Durrenberger, Cadillac Mountain, Wayback Machine, Determined Luddites, Al Perry, Cochise County Allstars and headliners Last Call Girls ( at a memorial concert at The Hut, 305 N. 4th Avenue, on Sunday, September 28, from 4:00 - 10:00 p.m. Over 21 only.

$5.00 donation at the door benefits KXCI, 91.3FM, Tucson's Community Radio Station.
