Wednesday's One Cup Of Java Challenge

Wednesday's One Cup of Java Challenge: Robert Plant is celebrating his 60th birthday today. In his honor, our One Cup of Java challenge focuses on Led Zeppelin. As popular and influential as the band was, they only ever had one Top Ten single in the U.S., in part because the band’s management preferred to focus on album sales. Your One Cup question this morning, on Robert Plan’ts 60th birthday: name Led Zeppelin’s ONLY U.S. Top Ten song, a tune which ultimately had a direct hand in creating a lot of new musicians.

Answer: “Whole Lotta Love.”

Willie Dixon threatened to sue the band, claiming they stole his song “You Need Love.” Willie took an out of court settlement and used the money to set up a program to distribute instruments in schools.
