Join David Yerkey this Sunday (August 24th) from 3:30 to 4:30pm for A View From Slightly Off Center when he interviews Sierra Club Executive Director Carl Pope on the topic of land use issues.
Carl Pope was appointed Executive Director of the Sierra Club in 1992, but he's been with the environmental organization for nearly thirty years, previously serving in the roles of Associate Conservation Director, Political Director and Conservation Director. A former Peace Corps volunteer, Pope also previously served as Executive Director of the California League of Conservation Voters and as Political Director of Zero Population Growth.
With 700,000 members, the Sierra Club is not only one of the largest environmental organizations but was named by The Aspen Institute as the most influential environmental organization in Washington, D.C.
