Monday's One Cup Of Java Challenge

Monday's One Cup of Java Challenge: Today’s the international day set aside to honor a certain type of building that dates back at least 2300 years. Denmark was the first country to have a government agency build them, starting in 1650. The first one in America was built in 1716. The law creating our agency in control of these buildings was among the first ten laws passed by Congress after the adoption of the Constitution. Buildings of this type still in use in America are now under military control, but buildings of this type not in use in America are just as apt to be under the control of a non-profit group. As a kid, Randy really wanted to live in one of these buildings but had to content himself with just visiting them in the summer. Your One Cup of Java Challenge – based on the clues provided, what type of building are we meant to celebrate today? It’s an easy question, if you’ve been on the lookout for clues.

Answer: Today is International Lighthouse Day.
