Don't Be Short With Us! / One Cup of Java Challenge

Friday's One Cup of Java Challenge: In November of 1960, Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs hit #1 on the Billboard pop charts for the first and only time with their song “Stay.” It only stayed on top of the charts for one week before being replaced by Elvis and “Are You Lonesome Tonight?” One week is not a long time to top the chart – but it was enough to give Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs a record that has yet to be broken. I’ll give you a minute and a half or so to think about your answer to this question: what record does the Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs' song "Stay" hold?

Answer: At 1:39, it's the shortest song to ever top the Billboard pop charts.
