Cine Chicano Film Festival, Feb. 13-17

The AZ Media Arts Center presents CINE CHICANO FILM FESTIVAL, celebrating Tucson Chicano filmmakers, February 13th through the 17th.

The festival includes 3 feature films and 4 short films, all by Tucson Chicano filmmakers.

PANCHO GOES TO COLLEGE screens Wednesday, Feb. 13th at 6:30pm at the U of A Modern Languages building, room #205. The comedy was chosen as Best Feature at the East LA Chicano Film Festival. It will also be shown Sunday, February 17th at 3pm at The Screening Room.

The documentary NUESTRA FAMILIA, OUR FAMILY runs Friday, February 15th at 7:30pm at The Screening Room (127 E. Congress). Best Documentary winner at the Mexico City Chicano Film Festival, the movie tells the story of a father, a son, a gang, and the FBI. The screening will include three shorts films as well: El Silencio de Miguel, Canon Mariposa, and Si, Se Puede.

RUNNIN' AT MIDNITE is a drama that asks the question - midnight hoops or the streets? It screens Saturday, February 16th at 7:30pm at The Screening Room. Also that night, enjoy the short film Just Coffee.
