Tucson Museum of Art League Fundraiser

The Tucson Museum of Art League presents the 2007 Treasure House Event - with more than 7,000 sq. ft. of antiques and unique treasures - on October 27th and 28th in Tucson.

“This year’s Treasure House sale is one of our biggest ever and really a shopper’s dream,” says Tucson Museum of Art League spokesperson Ann Stables. The annual sale usually has about 5,000 sq.ft of merchandise but this year’s space is over 7,000 sq. ft. and is “filled wall to wall.”

Held every fall, the Tucson Museum of Art League’s Treasure House sale is a much-anticipated event that offers bargains on antiques, quality furniture, china, crystal and unique collectibles that are donated locally by individuals and estates. Run by the League’s volunteer members, all proceeds go directly to the Tucson Museum of Art in support of exhibitions and art education.

Stables says of special note this year are many interesting furniture and accent items donated by prominent Tucson interior designer, Larry Hayden. There is also a large section of ethnic art and collectibles and an abundance of occasional chairs.

“Every year the merchandise is different”, says Stables, “but we sell out every time”.

The two-day sale takes place Saturday, October 27 from 10:00am to 3:00pm and Sunday, October 28 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.

Because the Treasure House sale is always held in a donated commercial space, it moves to a different place in central Tucson each year. This year’s location was donated by I. Mike Kasser, president of Holualoa Arizona, Inc. and Campbell Plaza. The 2007 Treasure House is located just a few store fronts north of Albertson’s at 2940 N. Campbell Ave. in the Campbell Plaza shopping center near Glenn.
