Newest Public Service Messages

ARCHITECTURE: It’s Architecture Week in Tucson. This year’s theme is “Growing Beyond Green.” There is a home tour on Sunday, October 21st from 10 to 4. The tour focuses on projects that utilize green elements and aspects. Proceeds from the home tour benefit Habitat for Humanity. Tickets are available at the AIA Office, 4633 East Broadway, and all Bookman's locations.

VALLEY OF THE MOON: This Halloween season, bring the whole family for an evening of spooky fun at Valley of the Moon, Tucson’s historic fantasy park. Events are held various nights through October 30th. For an events schedule and directions, visit http://216.120.237.84/~valleyo/.

MUSIC FOR THE SOUL: On November 8th, Interfaith Community Services presents Music For The Soul at the Fox Tucson Theatre. Music For The Soul features Tucson’s faith communities sharing their traditions in song, dance and chant. Performers include the Jewish rock band Avanim, Mary Redhouse, the Tucson Arizona Mass Gospel Choir and Mariachi San Juan. Tickets are available at http://icstucson.org/ and the Fox box office.

MOBILE MEALS: Mobile Meals of Tucson needs volunteers to help drive away hunger. Drivers are needed to deliver lunch Monday through Friday. Meals are picked up at 11am and a delivery route takes about 90 minutes to complete. A valid drivers license and car insurance is required. To learn more or to volunteer, call 622-1600.

SIERRA CLUB OUTINGS: Do you enjoy hiking, rock climbing, biking or camping with others and showing them areas that you enjoy? You could be an outing leader for the Sierra Club’s local Rincon Group.
