Wednesday's One Cup of Java Challenge: On this date in history, 1969, the trial of the Chicago 7 started. There were however originally eight defendants. Your One Cup question this morning - which of the original 8 defendants did the trial judge separate from the proceedings?

Answer: Black Panther activist Bobby Seale.

Bonus Blog Trivia: The 7 remaining defendants were Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, David Dellinger, Tom Hayden, Rennie Davis, John Froines and Lee Weiner. Writer Aaron Sorkin wrote a script based on the trial, with Steven Spielberg intending to direct. In July, Sorkin finalized a deal with DreamWorks to do this film as one of three contracted films.
