Shorty Stubbs Memorial Concert - Sunday, Sept 30

Sunday, September 30, 2007
5:00 - 10:00 p.m.
The Hut
305 N. 4th Avenue (at 8th Street)

Chris "Shorty Stubbs" Jones was larger than life. A first-rate musician, he lived in Benson, worked at Raytheon and volunteered at local community radio station KXCI 91.3FM kicking off the "Twangin' Tuesday" lineup with his show, "Country Fringe". Shorty had a passion for all things country and could be found out and about most any night enjoying the twanging happenings in Tucson. He was a great supporter of local musicians and music-oriented organizations.

On Friday, September 14th, Chris "Shorty Stubbs" Jones passed away at his home in Benson. His large heart and smiling face is sorely missed by friends, family and our community.

A memorial concert for Shorty Stubbs will be held at The Hut, 305 N. 4th Avenue, on Sunday, September 30, from 5:00 - 10:00 p.m. Over 21. Free admission. Anyone may participate in the potluck and bring a remembrance for the altar.
