Local CD Releases from Greyhound Soul and Namoli Brennet

Two great local artists have CD release shows this weekend.

Greyhound Soul have been making music around the old pueblo for thirteen years. Their latest release is Tonight And Every Night. This plastic slab of rockin' alt country is well worth the several year wait. KXCI DJ Doctor Dan calls it "brilliant... Joe Pena's whiskey and tobacco soaked vocals and tortured lyrics are right out front leading the way". They celebrate the new release with The Deludes and The Dusky Buskers this Friday night at Club Congress, doors open at 9pm.

Namoli Brennet
is a prolific and esteemed singer songwriter who uses the appropriate tagline, transcending folk. Namoli has another fine release, Singer Shine Your Light, that features her strong vocals, songwriting and guitar playing. On this release she plays most everything, from piano to cajon; mandlin to glockenspiel, but keeps the focus on here distinctively edgy yet acoustic folk sound. The CD release kicks of at 7pm Saturday evening with Liz Stahler at Club Congress.

** Both artists will be featured for Friday's Live@5.
