Kristy Kruger Returns To Tucson

Long-time KXCI favorite Kristy Kruger (found on our first Live From Studio 2A CD) returns to Tucson for a concert on Monday, March 5th at The Hut. She'll also be performing that day "Live at 5" on The Home Stretch.

Kristy is touring in support of her new CD, "Songs From A Dead Man's Couch," but more importantly, in honor and rememberance of her brother, Lt. Col. Eric Kruger, who was killed in Iraq on November 2, 2006, during his third tour of duty in the Middle East.

Kristy is honoring her brother's memory by performing in all 50 states. Her Tucson appearance takes place Monday, March 5th at the Hut, 305 North 4th Avenue. Doors open at 7pm, with the show from 8 to 10pm. L.A. singer-songwriter Leslie Stevens opens the show.

In lieu of a cover charge, donations to a memorial fund for Lt. Col. Kruger's four children will be accepted.

"He died in the name of this country, so I'd like him to be remembered in every state in this country," Ms. Kruger said.

A staple in the Dallas acoustic scene, Kristy Kruger has released four albums independently and was awarded the 2006 Dallas Observer Music Award for Best Female Vocalist . Her latest release won the Independent Music Award for Americana Album of the Year and the Dallas Morning News named it one of the top 10 local releases of 2006.
