Buddy Guy: African-American Music Showcase

As part of KXCI Community Radio's celebration of Black History Month, we are proud to announce the return of the African-American Music Showcase, each Wednesday in February from 5 to 6pm.

Our first showcase on February 7th featured a one-hour special on the legendary Fats Waller.

This week's showcase on February 14th features legendary bluesman and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Buddy Guy. Guys tells his own story, looking back on his life and career as only he can. The one hour program features 15 classic tracks from throughout Buddy's career.

Buddy Guy was an influence on Clapton, Hendrix, The Rolling Stones and many more - now he can be an influence on you! Tune in February 14th from 5 to 6pm for "Buddy Guy: Can't Quit The Blues," only on your Community Radio 91.3FM KXCI.

Future Wednesday profiles in February include Chuck Berry and Aaron Neville's tribute to soul music.

Very cool. I will be glued to my computer. It's always a privilege to here about one's father.

Can someone provide the time zone the radio station is in?
